How do I choose which package is right for my property?

Consider your budget, design expectations, and long-term use (rental vs family space). The Basic package is ideal for cost-efficient builds, the Mid tier adds higher-quality finishes, and Premium is suited for luxury design and stronger ROI. A consultation helps match your lot and goals to the right tier.

What financing options are available for an ADU build?

We partner with financing providers and offer promotional options including 0 % APR financing subject to credit and program eligibility. Your loan amount and rate depend on credit, project size, and selected finishes.

What is the typical timeline from start to finish?

After design and permitting, construction timeline depends on scope and tier. As a general rule, once the permit is approved the Basic package can often complete in a faster timeframe than the Premium tier due to less complex finishes. We’ll give a project-specific timeline when we review your lot, scope, and package choice.

What happens if the project scope changes or I upgrade finishes after the package is selected?

If you decide to upgrade finishes, expand square footage, or add features (e.g., solar, smart home systems, premium appliances) after the package is chosen, we’ll provide a revised proposal to reflect those changes. We maintain the base package pricing as the starting point, but scope changes will be itemised and approved before moving ahead.

Do I need to live on-site at my property when I build the ADU?

Many jurisdictions require that the homeowner occupy either the main house or the ADU while it’s rented out. We’ll check local ordinances (Chico/Northern CA) and factor that into the permit scope and
